Tranmere Rovers are delighted to announce the launch of a new English and Professional Football programme in association with New College Group (NCG).

The two-week programme will consist of general English studies and professional football coaching, providing a rounded understanding of the principles of play and coaching methods, while simultaneously helping students to understand the specific terminology used within the setting to further support the development of their language skills.

New College Group (NCG) is a specialist college providing English Language courses of varying levels of difficulty in Manchester, Liverpool and Dublin.

NCG has developed a strong reputation with international students for high-quality teaching, friendly staff and state-of-the-art facilities.

First-team facilities at the Club will also be accessible to those involved, as well as the advice and expertise of analysts, physios and sports scientists employed by Tranmere Rovers.

Opportunities to experience a matchday at Prenton Park first-hand will be an added bonus on top of this scheme, providing an insight into life as a member of the Super White Army and the style of football being played by Micky Mellon’s side.

Commenting on this exciting development, Head of Education at Tranmere Rovers, Carl Giles, said:

“Tranmere Rovers are looking forward very much to introducing and developing this unique and exciting programme in partnership with NCG.  The opportunities created will undoubtedly benefit all the international students who enrol.”

Kerill Kennedy the Principal at NCG Liverpool spoke about the new partnership:
