Elite Coaching
As part of our football programme, players receive UEFA standard coaching, from ex-professional and semi-professional football players and experienced development coaches. Training is broken down from the 1st team coaching syllabus and follows the club’s technical and tactical periodisation for each season. Our coaches aim to develop players individually and as part of a team, with a consistent regime throughout all teams, resulting in fluent transitions for players moving up the football ladder within our structure. Our players follow the 1st team strength and conditioning programme where the aim is to develop all players' athleticism and fitness to meet the physical demands of an elite footballer. As part of the football and coaching programme, training sessions and matches are recorded and analysed to improve tactical knowledge and understanding.
Teams & Leagues
Our teams enjoy access to 2 campuses, Prenton Park and the 1st team training ground. All teams train at the 1st team facilities. We are represented in the North West Youth Alliance, National Youth Football League & the EFL CEFA leagues.
Our students experience high standards of opposition across the 3 league structures. They also experience playing at semi-professional and professional 1st team and academy facilities across the northern and central regions of England.
Trips and tours
As part of the football programme, all our teams are offered the opportunity to be involved in international tours. The experience includes quality fixtures against semi-professional opposition, professional 1st teams, professional youth squads and international tournaments. This provides our students with the opportunity to showcase their skills and talents on an international stage. Our most recent tours have included Amsterdam; teams were based in the national training camp where various premier league and national squads have completed pre-season training. Similarly, our squads had access to state-of-the-art training facilities in Alicante, Spain.
